Rider Acronyms

This page is dedicated to all those acronyms that you have heard but never really knew what they mean.

• CAGE = Automobile
• DSC = Deputy State Captain
• FLAG LINE = PGR members holding US and other military flags in a show of support
• FAST team = Forward Advanced Support Team; comprised primarily of non-flag bikes that departs the funeral home or church ceremonies in advance of the main column of support personnel to setup a flag line at the cemetery.
• GOTG = Gathering of the Guard
• HOTH = Help On The Homefront
• HNC = Houston National Cemetery
• KSU = Kick Stands Up
• LEO = Law Enforcement Official
• MISSION = Form of appreciation for a service member (Numerous types)
• MISSION BLAST = Form of correspondence to PGR members informing them of an upcoming event.
• PGR = Patriot Guard Rider
• RC = Ride Captain
• RCA= Ride Captain Apprentice
• RG = Road Guard
• SEMPER GUMBY = Always Flexible
• SC = State Captain
• SRC = Senior Ride Captain
• STAGING = Pre-planned location where members meet before a mission.
• WELCOME HOME MISSION = Generally a gathering to thank a returning service member for their recent tour of duty abroad.
